A tripartite Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Government of West Bengal, JUSCO and Voltas Ltd. on 08 November 2007 at the Writers Building, Kolkata. This is the first such BOT project in the country in Water Sector where Public Private Partnership model has been implemented for development and subsequent maintenance of water and sewage infrastructure for 30 years.
