Procurement Department, the integral
link in the service delivery mechanism of JUSCO,
supports the operations of the organization by catering
to all the procurement needs of all the offices,
projects and facilities. JUSCO's Procurement Department
has developed competencies for both Project and MRO
procurements. The overall operations of Procurement
function are monitored from JUSCO's corporate office in
Jamshedpur which systemizes and controls entire
operational spend.
The Procurement function includes
purchasing of materials and services, strategic
sourcing, vendor development, vendor management,
logistics management, inventory management at stores,
disposal of unserviceable items etc. This department
ensures seamless supply chain till delivery of services
to the customers. Procurement Department handles issues
related to statutory compliances, system development &
implementation and lays down procurement policies and
systems to ensure compliance. The Department also
provides strategic support to all business units in
their contracting, costing and commercial activities.
The Procurement Department of JUSCO
runs on SAP R/3 (ORACLE based) - MM Module and will have
global connectivity to carry out all future procurement
related operations of JUSCO. This ensures transparency
and visibility of all transactions related to
procurement. System also permits the organization to
maintain data bank and track record of vendors, item
cost data etc. E-Procurement module enables faster B2B
communication. Along with cost and quality, Procurement
Department also emphasizes on agility, integrity and
other values of the organization. |
