Message from Managing Director
 JUSCO, A TATA Enterprise, is part of an organization which turns 100 this year. Over a century ago the vision of Mr. J N Tata led to setting up of Tata Steel, the first steel plant of modern India, in a remote place in eastern part of the country. His belief that sustainability of any business depended on ability to attract talent and goodwill of the community, resulted in development and careful nurturing of the planned city of Jamshedpur.
Today as India stands poised to join the league of superpowers, Mr. J N Tata’s belief holds special significance. The amazing growth of our country is leading to rapid urbanisation. However, our cities lack infrastructure, civic amenities and municipal services required to support such growth. Whist most cities have started focusing on creation of infrastructure, a lot still remains to be done towards maintenance of these assets. The Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) is a timely initiative towards meeting such requirement of the country. I expect this initiative to bring significant improvements in operational efficiencies and service delivery in municipal services.
I expect JUSCO to play a pivotal role in supporting the national vision 2020 by leveraging the competencies and expertise gained over ten decades of providing civic and allied services at Jamshedpur. Our mission of ‘quality services for life’, wherein ‘life’ symbolizes vibrancy and continuity of services forever, shall guide us in focusing our efforts towards delighting every citizen of the country we serve. I realize that it is a huge challenge, But I am confident that the team at JUSCO will live up to the Tata’s image of being a pioneer in whichever field it ventures.
