Introduction:

JUSCO, a Tata enterprise, has a wide portfolio of services – Water & Waste Water Services, Infrastructure Management, Public Health and Municipal Solid Waste Management and Power Distribution. It also provides other services like Public Health & Horticulture, Civil & Electrical Maintenance, Hospitality Management, Facility Management and Education to a select group of customers. JUSCO’s mission is to provide quality services of life. Carved out of its parent company, Tata Steel Limited, about three years ago, JUSCO can boast of nine decades of experience, even though its operation was restricted only to Jamshedpur (India). On its creation, as a separate corporate entity, the immediate focus of JUSCO was to understand the needs and aspirations of its customers and fulfil them.

JUSCO, within three years, had created its position as an institution to reckon with and bagged the CRISIL award under a special category for municipal initiatives. Five of its major departments are ISO: 9001 certified, and its Environment Management System, which extends across the city is ISO: 14001 certified, which makes Jamshedpur, the only city in India to enjoy a healthy and green environment. JUSCO is well on its way to creating a network of services to other cities as well, furnishing customers across the country with the opportunity of an improved quality of life.

As a matter of fact, JUSCO’s management mostly comprises officials who have served Tata Steel for years and hence fathom the functionality of the company and the expectations of its customers.
