Mr. Ashish Mathur

Mr Ashish Mathur is appointed as the new Managing Director of Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Company Limited (JUSCO), A TATA Enterprise at the Board Meeting held on 29 October 2012.

Mr Ashish Mathur is a seasoned professional with rich cross functional, multinational experience in all aspects of business in a career spanning over 25 years. Starting with Marine Engineering & Shipbuilding, Mr Mathur has conceptualised and spearheaded the growth of many business organisations across the different industry segments in different geographies around th e world. After returning to India in 2001, Mr Mathur pioneered the concept of de velopment of Satellite Cities and their management to meet the urbanisation chal lenges in growing India. Mr Mathur has been accredited with building & managing large Integrated Business Cities, Special Economic Zones and Industrial Parks etc.

Prior to joining Tata Steel and now JUSCO, Mr Mathur has worked with P & O Ship Management, London, U.K.; Honeywell Indi a Pvt. Ltd.; Sodexo India Pvt. Ltd.; Mahindra World City, a subsidiary of Mahi ndra & Mahindra India Limited. His last assignment was as Executive Director, Ra mky Group, the Leading Infrastructure Company in India.

During the course of his 25 years of profes sional life so far, Mr Mathur has reached out to industry & published strategic papers on concepts like ‘SHE’, ‘Standardisationof Work Place Practices’, ‘Green Cities’, ‘Integrated Communities’, ‘The newCustomer & Rendering of Services’, ‘Realityin Realty’ etc. Mr Ma thur has many work place excellence awards to his credits. Orig inally qualified as Mechanical Engineer, Mr Mathur extended his education by doing specialisation in Marine Management Systems (MMS) and further GPMD – Global Program for Management Development from University of Michigan, U.S.A.

Mr Ashish Mathur has been associated wi th various Industrial, Infrastructure and Urban Development Bodies like CII, Assoch am, FICCI, IGBC and TiE throughout his long professional career. Mr Mathur he aded the Chair of Advisory Committee - Industrial Policy, CII, Rajasthan; Member, SEZ Developer Panel, Assocham; Chartered Member of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE). Mr Mathur has got a special interest towards Training & Development and has tried to bridge the gap between College Education and Industrial Expectation through various initia tives. This initiative is now being taken over by the Government of India along with CII.
